Self
Evaluation

SELF-EVALUATION PROJECT

The self-evaluation project will be an overall "self-rating". You are to evaluate yourself in the given areas by a point system. Ratings will be from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating you could give yourself. You will be evaluaing yourself in the following areas.

Health and Physical Fitness
Do you take care of your body? Do you perform any type of exercise? Do you consider yourself in good physical condition?

Personal Appearance
Do you take care of personal hygiene? Do you keep yourself well groomed?

Emotional Stability
Can you adjust easily to change? Do you have control over your emotions and actions? How do you deal with stress?

Intellectual Interests
Do you read? Do you know what is going on in the world around you? Newspapers, magazines, books, watch the news, listen to news on the radio. Do you educate yourself in areas of interest?

Scholarship
Are you concerned about your performance in school? Do you work up to your abilities in school?

Social Adjustment
Do you find it easy or difficult to talk to people? Is it easy for you to make friends? Are you comfortable with the friends you have?

Leadership Ability
Do you consider yourself a "leader" or a "follower"? Do you find it hard to resist peer pressure? Would you "go along with the crowd", or would you stand up for something you believe in?

Professional Skills
Do you treat others with respect unconditionally? Are you free of prejudices? Can you respect and appreciate that other people may have opinions that differ from yours?

Rate yourself in each of these areas from 1 to 5. Remember, every answer is correct, you can not give a wrong answer. Also, remember that everyone has a weakness, somewhere. The important thing is that you can recognize a weakness and try to improve on that.
Which brings us to the next section of the project.................

After each rating, write at least one paragraph answering the following questions:

1. Why did you rate yourself with this number? Explain.
2. If the score is high, (4 or 5) why is it so high?
3. How are you going to maintain this 4 or 5?
4. If you scored yourself at 3 or below, how can you work on improving this in your life?
5. Are you currently working on this aspect of your life?

Point Total
This project is worth 40 points. Each section is worth 5 points. I will be checking for the number rating and that in the paragraph following your rating you answer all of the questions above.
